Family Shooting and Stabbing in Ridgeland, Argument May Have Started It

RIDGELAND, MISS– Two shots fired, followed by a stabbing in Ridgeland Friday. Police say it was between mother and son-in-law.Police say Betty Williams shot her son-in-law Robert Tierce once in the stomach and once in the side of the head. Williams then ran into a bedroom, locked herself in, and started stabbing herself in the stomach. Witnesses say the two were arguing before it all went down.

Both Williams and Tierce are at University of Mississippi Medical Center and are expected to live. No charges pressed at this time.
