Fifth suspect arrested in Starkville shooting

STARKVILLE,Miss.- A fifth suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of Mississippi State University student Joseph Tillman.

On Tuesday Nov. 8, 18-year old Syboris A. Pippins of Columbus, was arrested for a felony warrant. The warrant was for a robbery committed on Maxwell Street in Starkville resulting in the death of Tillman, according to the Starkville Police Department Facebook page.

He was taken to Oktibbeha County Jail and bond was set at $50,000. He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday Nov. 9, 2016.

Additionally murder suspect Jaylen Barker, 20, was also charged with possession of a stolen firearm. He received an additional $25,000 bond.
