Former Ole Miss linebacker falls asleep during radio interview

Former Ole Miss linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche had a scheduled radio interview on Head to Head Radio with Richard Cross and Matt Wyatt on Thursday.

Unfortunately for Nkemdiche, he also had a nap scheduled for the same time.

When the hosts welcomed him to the show, they were met with this not-so-energetic greeting:

Nkemdiche had an up-and-down start as a red shirt freshman at Ole Miss. In October of 2015, he was admitted into the hospital and was in ICU after what was reported as “dealing with a personal matter,” according to RebelGrove.com.

After being released, Nkemdiche was again taken to the hospital, unconscious, in December of 2015 according to a release from the Ridgeland Police Department.

Nkemdiche was an accomplished player at Ole Miss. In 2012, he was on the Freshman All-American first team, All-SEC second team, and named the number 6 newcomer by ESPN.
