JACKSON, MISS– Here’s what to expect outdoors as you celebrate the Fourth of July. 

Starting in North Mississippi….a 30 percent chance of precipitation, mainly after 1 pm. Otherwise, mostly sunny with a high near 94. Breezy, with winds up to 15 MPH. Tonight, after the picnics are packed away, there’s a 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy with a low around 75 degrees. Tomorrow, we have a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a high near 92.
South Mississippi checks in with a 20 percent chance of showers, mainly after 8am. Then partly sunny with a high near 89 degrees. There will a nice breeze of about 15 MPH along with a heat index as high as 108. Tonight, 20 percent chance of rain before 8pm along with a low around 78 and those same 15 MPH breezes. Tomorrow, mostly sunny with a high near 89.
In Central Mississippi,  mostly sunny, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 104. Breezes around 10 MPH.
Tonight, a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Increasing clouds, with a low around 76.
Tomorrow, another 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 95.
