Girl’s Hair Set on Fire by Classmates

ATTALA COUNTY, Miss. – A 12-year-old girl’s hair was set on fire at her school this week and officials say it was no accident.

After reviewing surveillance video, Attala County Schools Superintendent Bryan Weaver says two male students are responsible.

One allegedly brought the lighter to school and the other used it to set the girl’s hair on fire in the hallway.

A teacher was able to put out the fire and the victim was taken to the hospital.  She is recovering.  The two boys could be expelled.
