Gloria Peterson, a staple to USM, joins Good Things

Last Friday, Gloria Peterson retired from her position at The University of Southern Mississippi, and if you’re not familiar with who that is, you absolutely need to be!

Peterson, who worked in the cafeteria for nearly 30 years, worked passionately in her position, getting to know as many students and fellow staff members as possible. She played such a positive role in everybody’s lives that Hattiesburg Mayor Toby Barker recently declared November 13 as “Gloria Peterson Day.”

It was an end of an era at Southern Miss, and to talk about her time at the university, Peterson joined Monday’s episode of Good Things with Rebecca Turner.
