Heat wave continues today

JACKSON, MISS– High temperatures will once again plague the Magnolia state today.

Wherever you go today you can’t escape the heat.

There’s a heat advisory again for most of the state, the most dangerous temps of this heat wave spreading like a wet ooze across central mississippi.. The heat holding Natchez up and over into Columbus hostage in heat advisories over the state. From Greenwood East and down through Hattiesburg is just a mass of hot, sticky air looming that will drive temps into the mid and upper 90’s.. with heat indices hitting 110 yet again.

The heat advisories will start to wind down for this weekend.  North Mississippi highs in the low 90’s Saturday, clear and sunny, in the 70’s in the evenings. Central Mississippi it’ll be hot and muggy with highs in the mid 90’s and a chance of showers lows in the 70’s. South Mississippi, Saturday brings a chance of storms, highs in the low 90’s, bottoming out in the low 70’s overnight.
