Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, there is a heat advisory in effect from 10 a.m. this morning to 8 p.m. tonight. During the day, partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. Highs will climb into the lower 90s and heat index readings will range from 104 to 109. At night, partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the mid-70s.

In central Mississippi, another heat advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. this morning to 7 p.m. this evening. Today, partly sunny with some patchy fog in the morning and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day. Highs will be in the lower to mid-90s and heat index readings will be anywhere from 104 to 109. Tonight, mostly clear with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening as well. Lows will dip down into the mid-70s.

In south Mississippi, partly sunny skies today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower to mid-90s, but temperatures will feel like they are anywhere between 105 and 110. In the evening, expect partly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms that will continue after midnight. Lows will drop down into the mid-70s.
