Miss. – Kids will be gallivanting in the streets in search of candy across Mississippi Friday for Halloween with the exception of the cities Leland and Hazlehurst who had their trick-or-treating Thursday.

Here is a list of recommended times cities have provided for trick or treating:

Clinton- dusk until 8:30 p.m.

Pearl- no specific hours

Richland- no specific hours

Ridgeland- no specific hours

Madison- no specific hours

Tupelo – no specific hours

Hattiesburg – 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Jackson- Halloween night; no specific hours

These are just some of the trick-or-treat hours NewMS was able to obtain. If you do not see your area listed and know the trick-or-treating hours, or see a correction that needs to be made, feel free to leave the information in the comments section so we can update our list.

Captain Kevin Newman with the Madison Police Department says if there are not specific times listed in your area for trick-or-treating, you should consider going out between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. “A parent would probably want their child to go out earlier so they can go to bed earlier, just a recommendation for safety reasons,” said Newman.

May the houses handing out king-sized candy in your neighborhood be plentiful and have a fun and safe Halloween.
