Inmate Found Dead in Jail Cell on Gulf Coast

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss.–For unknown reasons, a Harrison County inmate hanged himself over the weekend after being jailed.

The Sun Herald reports that 44-year-old John Feller died of his injuries and used his bed sheets in the incident.

The reports says that Feller had been arrested on misdemeanor escape and second-offense DUI on Friday in D’Iberville and had been in jail until the event Sunday.

The Harrison County District Attorney’s office investigated the case along with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
