Jackson Police Officer Arrested After Fight Gets Out of Control

JACKSON, Miss.- The officer was arrested Saturday by his fellow colleagues at Jackson Police Department. Officer and Utica resident Terence Dewayne Crump (31) is being detained at the Hinds County detention center in Raymond, facing charges of simple assault, malicious mischief, and petit larceny.

His wife, Shakeela Magee-Crump told WLBT that his cousin called him about her ex-boyfriend harassing her.

Once he arrived at the cousin’s home, he was attacked by the ex-boyfriend. His wife said that while he was defending himself, he probably went overboard with it.

The malicious mischief charge stemmed from him busting out the man’s truck window
