Jonas Joe Stabbed More Than 70 Times, Tribal Murder Trial Set For December

CHOCTAW, Miss.–Stabbed more than 70 times outside his house on Choctaw tribal land on Aug. 15, Jonas Joe didn’t make it and now his accused killers are going before the judge in December.

Choctaw tribal police arrested three adults and a minor: Tommy Cotton, III; James Bell, Jr.; and Davian Wilson. Police think it might be related to a shooting in June that also happened on tribal land.

The minor’s case is being handled in youth court.
