JACKSON, Miss.- Jackson Police Department confirms that 18-year-old LaDarrion McCray has turned himself in to the authorites. McCray was wanted for the shooting death of Glentez Brown, who was holding his newborn child.
18-year-old LaDarrion McCray turned himself in to the Jackson Police Department Tuesday morning.
Friday, Oct. 17, three officers responded to a call at Windsor Apartments in Clinton that there had been a shooting. Glentez Brown, 31, had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead on the scene. The man was also carrying a newborn while he was being shot at that was not injured, but was clearly in the line of fire.
The suspect was identified as a black male leaving the scene in a Chevy pickup truck. The truck was found later and appeared to be burned. Detectives later identified the suspect as 18-year-old LaDarrion McCray.
Warrants have been issued for his arrest for the charges of Murder and Aggravated Assault. The investigation is still ongoing.
