Keeping Your Kids Safe: Mississippi Teacher Admits to Molesting Kids in Several States Over 30 Years

GULFPORT, Miss.–Over 30 years of molesting Mississippi kids in other states was the confession given this week by William Richard Pryor, a teacher at Bayou View Jr. High School. The first time it happened was in 1973.

The FBI said Thursday that Pryor gave them a confession and detailed what he did with at least eight victims all the way up until 2005.

The FBI affidavit was graphic in describing the sex acts. Pryor’s took his first victim from Gulfport to California, Montana, Colorado, and Oregon on “summer trips”. That victim claimed to have been molested on those trips. He said Pryor would touch his penis and “masturbate him”.

The second victim was molested in 1999 and claimed the same type of activity in Louisiana.

Those two victims were interviewed this week. After the interviews, the FBI talked to Pryor, 68, who gave a confession and ID’d the other victims.

He’s charged with transportation of minors across state lines for sexual purposes. He could get up to 10 years on that charge.

He worked at several schools throughout his career. The FBI belives that he worked at some places without incident.
