Making Sure the Food at the State Fair is Safe

JACKSON, Miss – The Mississippi State Department of Health was at the state fair this afternoon.

Anne Hogue, is MSDH District V Environmentalist and says, this year their will be a little less than 125 food vendors at the fair.

All have to pass inspection before they are allowed to sell food at the event.

Patrons should look for a white sticker of Mississippi with a date on it, when they approach a food vendor. This means they have passed inspection.

The state fair of Mississippi starts tomorrow.
