Man Accused in Dismembered Dancer Case to be Extradited to Louisiana

New York, Miss. — The man accused of killing and dismembering Bourbon Street dancer Jaren Lockhart, whose body parts washed up on the beaches of Hancock County in 2012, is waiting to be sent back to Louisiana.

Terry Speaks is now being held at a jail in New York after he was released from a New York federal prison where he was serving time for sex crimes in North Carolina.

His accomplice, Margret Sanchez, was arrested by Kenner police earlier this year. She was being held in the Jefferson Parish jail with bond set at $1.5 million.

Both are charged with second-degree murder, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy to obstruct justice. Sanchez plead not guilty in August.
