PASCAGOULA, Miss.- A man that appeared to have been homeless was struck and killed by a CSX train Monday morning.
The man was walking along the tracks near Chicot Street and U.S. 90 in Pascagoula when the incident happened.
Pascagoula police Lt. Doug Adams told the Sun Herald, “It appears that the gentleman was walking west on the tracks and just did not hear the train.”
The name of the person has not yet been released. Adams said, “The gentleman actually has a Biloxi residence, so we will contact Biloxi PD and try to get them to help us notify the family.”
The accident is currently under investigation.
