JACKSON, Miss.- A man was seen standing on the edge of the Highway 80 bridge over the Pearl River just before 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Traffic was stopped while Jackson police and fire crews tried to talk the man out of jumping.
After about 30 minutes they were able to get the man to climb back onto the bridge and take him in to custody.
He’s been taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.
