MBN busts 2 men, confiscates $30,000 of ecstasy

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics arrested two men at the Greyhound bus station in Brookhaven, Mississippi, Monday in connection with the seizure of $30,000 worth of ecstasy pills.

MBN agents arrested 35-year-old Travis Harris, of Memphis, Tennessee, along with 27-year-old Peter Pickens, of  Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The men were traveling from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Memphis, Tennessee, Director Dowdy said.

MBN Director John Dowdy said that the two men were traveling from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Memphis, Tennessee.

Each suspect faces a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. after agents, while conducting a consensual search, discovered more than 3,600 ecstasy pills and a small amount of marijuana, Director Dowdy said.

Both men were booked into the Lincoln County Jail and their bonds have been set at $150,000 each.The continuing investigation is being conducted by the MBN with the assistance of Brookhaven Police Department.
