Minimum Wage Raised in Hinds County

HINDS COUNTY, Miss.- Minimum wage in Hinds County is going up.

Hinds County officials ruled that minimum wage for county employees who have been employed for less than one year will receive a pay increase to $9.45 an hour.

Employees with more than a year will be increased to $9.75 an hour. That decision was made Monday during the Hinds County Supervisor Board Meeting.

The new wages will go into effect Nov. 1.
