TUPELO, Miss.–Nasty storms Monday in several spots across north Mississippi dropped hail, and some of it got pretty big. There’s still a risk of storms in the forecast for today, but forecasters said early Tuesday that the risk for more storms like like is minimal.

“The biggest hail report we got was out of Union County. We got two inches in diameter,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Scott McNeill.

He said the likelihood that would happen again today was small.
