Nurse Charged With Getting Drugs From Patients

JACKSON, MISS– Attorney General Jim Hood has announced that a nurse from Ripley has turned herself in after going before the judge for two counts of getting prescriptions illegally from patients.

Sarah Lepard, 27 was working as a licensed practical nurse at Golden Living Center in Ripley when she allegedly got prescriptions by using patient information and fraud. Police say Lepard had gotten Oxycodone and Hydrocodone by signing for them for patients but keeping them for herself.

Lepard was sent to the Tippah County lock up and posted bail for $10,000. She faces up to five years in the pen if she’s found guilty.
