Week 14 is a short week, cause Coach needs a vacation before football season gets kicked off, making his life much busier, but we ended the week with a little Tennis Golf. From the big painted M in the end zone of the football field, to the backstop of the softball field, we smacked tennis balls all over the Millsaps campus, and it reminded me of something I’ve tried to always remember during Operation Healthy State. If you’re going to keep going, you’ve got to have a little fun. Instead of pumping iron and riding the “devil bike”, we strolled around in the 100 degree heat swinging a tennis racket and breaking a little sweat, mainly due to the heat. I’m not saying getting bigger and stronger by lifting weights isn’t fun in and of itself, but there’s something about cutting loose and playing a game like Tennis Golf to inspire me to enjoy whatever Week 15 will throw my way!
Day 50 of Operation Healthy State Boot Camp was a lot of fun. It reminded me that pushing yourself to test your limits is worthwhile, but you still have to have a little fun every once in a while.
