MCCOMB, Miss.- McComb police are currently searching for a man suspected of kidnapping a 16-year-old girl as she was walking to her school bus stop Thursday morning.
Police said the girl was lured early Thursday morning into a yard of an abandoned house in the 200 block of South Cherry Street.
Police have identified the suspect as Justin Brumfield. Brumfield apparently would not let her leave after luring her into the yard and then sexually assaulted the teen.
The girl was treated at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical center and later released.
Anyone that knows the whereabouts of Brumfield is asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
