BOLTON, Miss.- Police are searching for a man that stole a funeral home car out of a church parking lot Thursday morning.
The vehicle belongs to Westhaven Funeral Home and was taken from St. Thomas Church in Bolton. An employee with the funeral home jumped into a hearse to chase the man down after he saw him ride up on his bicycle and hop into the Cadillac and take off during the funeral service, witnesses told WAPT.
Hinds County sheriff’s deputies picked up the chase and followed the car to Wisteria Lane in Jackson, where the driver jumped out of the car and took off running. Police are still looking for the man.
The car was recovered, but has damage to it.
