YAZOO CITY, Miss.- A Yazoo City man and his buddy were playing with a gun when it accidentally went off and shot one of them, police said.
Yazoo City Police Chief Jeff Curtis told WLBT, 26-year-old Eric Alton Lee has been arrested for the fatal shooting of his friend 28-year-old Eric Terrell Rodgers.
Rodgers died from a gunshot wound to the chest Wednesday night after Lee accidentally shot him.
Lee turned himself in to police Wednesday evening. He is charged with manslaughter.
Investigators say there was no argument and that the two were friends.
