BRANDON, Miss. – News Mississippi Scam Alert: If you are a Southern Pine Electric customer, be warned. There are people impersonating power company workers and calling those customers saying they have federal money that can be used to pay your power bill. They will probably ask for your personal information. Do not give that to them. It is a scam. Remember to always be cautious when giving out your social security or banking info to someone you do not know or did not call yourself.
