JACKSON, Miss.–A Sunday night shooting left one man dead at a Motel 6 in the capital city.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. at the I-55 N Frontage Rd. location.
The Jackson Police Department tells WLBT that 56-year-old professional bass fisherman James Johnson was the victim but little else is known at this point.
The case is being investigated as a murder.
