Protest to Prevent Miserable Animals from being Fed to Your Kids

JACKSON. Miss. – This LINK will take you to disturbing video of pigs going through a lot of unnecessary pain at Southern Quality Meats early this year. That footage was released by PETA. Since, the worker who filmed it has been let go.

The animal rights organization plans to protest outside of the Mississippi Department of Education Thursday at noon in the capital city, because your kids are still eating those miserable pigs for lunch even after Southern Quality Meats was cited by the USDA for violating federal humane laws.

“We don’t want animals who have suffered miserable lives to be fed to school children,” said Katie Arth, PETA Campaign Manager.

Southern Quality Meats says they have fixed the problem, but the company still holds a contract worth 6 million of your tax dollars with Mississippi schools. PETA wants that contract to end.
