Rain Continues to Batter the Magnolia State

JACKSON, MISS– The rain continues for much of Mississippi today. 

 

Starting in North Mississippi, more showers and thunderstorms, some producing heavy rain with the possibility of between 1 and 2 inches of accumulation. Gusty winds as well. With blasts as high as 25 MPH. Tonight, ditto the storm activity with a low of around 64. Tomorrow, déjà vu, more showers and thunderstorms along with a high near 79 degrees.
Cruising to South Mississippi, a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Aside from the precipitation in the first half of the day, we’ll see a cloudy high of 75. More showers and thunder tonight, dipping down to around 68 degrees. Tomorrow, an 80 percent chance of additional precipitation with a high of 75 and 1 to 2 inches of rain accumulation.
Central Mississippi. Some of the storms could be severe with a high of 79 and winds gusting up to 20 MPH. Tonight, more showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2am. Low around 58. New rainfall may amount to three quarters of an inch. Tomorrow, a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms to wrap up the work week along with a partly sunny high of 73.
