Rain could kick off the work week

JACKSON, MISS–Rain is a possibility for much of the state today. 

Starting in the central part of the state, a 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1pm with gradually increasing clouds and a high of 93 degrees. The heat index will make it feel as high as 99 degrees. Tonight, a 50 percent chance of rain with a cloudy low of 75. Tomorrow, a 60 percent chance of precipitation with a cloudy high of 89.

North Mississippi, a 60 percent chance of showers today. Otherwise, partly sunny with a high of 93 degrees. Tonight, a 50 percent chance of rain and a low of 74. Tomorrow, a 40 percent chance of rain with morning clouds clearing to a partly sunny high of 91.

South Mississippi, a 40 percent chance of scattered showers today along with a high of 91. Tonight, mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain and a low of 76. Tomorrow, a 60 percent chance of showers, mainly in the afternoon with a mostly cloudy high of 89 degrees.
