UPDATE: Suspects in custody after road rage shooting

PEARL, MISS–Pearl Police confirm that two men have been arrested in the road rage incident that took place yesterday on I-20 at the Airport Road exit in Rankin County.

The following update was posted on the Pearl Police Department’s Facebook page:

IN CUSTODY!
Pearl Police can confirm 2 white males have been taken into custody in connection with the I-20 shooting yesterday in Pearl. One of the males is suspect Brett Davis. An official release will be sent later this evening. Pearl Police wishes to thank multi agencies for their assistance.

The other man in custody was Andrew Walters. Both were arrested in Biloxi on Nelson drive after Davis’ truck was parked at the Winn Dixie.

PEARL, MISS— Pearl Police confirm a road rage incident led to a man being shot in the head near the Airport Road exit on Interstate 20 in Rankin County.

UPDATE 9:09 pm– Pearl Police Investigators have identified the suspect in today’s shooting on I-20 in Pearl as 29 year old, Brett Davis of Picayune, according to a post on the police department’s Facebook page. Pearl Police were assisted by Rankin County Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, United States Marshall’s Office, and the Mississippi Department of Corrections in identifying this suspect.

He currently has a warrant for his arrest for attempted murder.

Please contact Crimestoppers at 601-355-TIPS if you can help locate Brett Davis. Police believe the vehicle now be in Louisiana via I-59.

Police are now looking for a Gold/metallic colored 2001 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab pickup, with the license plate number PU2743, which is a Pearl River County tag. Police do believe Davis is still in the state contrary to previous reports that he was spotted in Louisiana.

Pearl Police Captain Brian McGairty told local media the men are considered armed and dangerous.
