MERIDIAN, Miss. — More new jobs will soon be available in Meridian.
Tower International is expanding and adding new contracts from the Nissan plant in Canton. The expansion represents a $15 million investment and will mean more than 80 new positions. “This is a major opportunity for Mississippi to continue to expand the automobile industry,” said Governor Phil Bryant while in Meridian Thursday to help announce the expansion.
Earlier this week the Governor announced that Nissan was expending its production line at the Canton facility to support production of the 2015 Nissan Murano crossover. The two expansions combined will bring nearly 600 new jobs to the state.
