JACKSON, Miss. – State employees can now add their same sex spouses to their health insurance.
Attorney General Jim Hood said the eligibility date is June 26, the same date the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of same sex marriage in all states. Mississippi has set a 60-day open-enrollment period.
