The Secretary of State’s Office has earned two awards for creativity and digital communication for their Y’all Business, Charities Online websites.

Y’all Business’ website is a one-of-a-kind resource for free economic development information that was relaunched in April of 2017 with new data and features including a mobile interface.

They took home the Platinum dotComm award, and the Charities Online earned a Gold. DotComm Awards is an international competition administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. They were selected out of more than 2,200 entries from throughout the U.S. and 14 countries.

“Government should work for citizens,” Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann said. “This is why we have made it a top priority to make sure our information and services are available online.”

Users can now select one of eight business “groups,” which automatically populates the Y’all Business map with information relevant to a particular type of business. The website has garnered more than 129,000 page views since it’s beginning in October of 2015.

The Charities Division completed its process to move all registration forms online in April of 2017. Currently more than 3,700 charities are registered in Mississippi.
