South Panola School Teacher Guilty of Child Enticement

PANOLA CO, Miss. – A former South Panola County School teacher, who pretended to be a woman in text messages to get children to send him nude pictures of themselves, has been found guilty of enticement of a child.

Marion Strickland, 24, was convicted Wednesday, but will be sentenced at a later date.  The conviction carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years behind bars.

Strickland was a 10th grade English teacher, but was fired in October 2012 after charges against him surfaced.
