The Tatter Tell Smell of Drugs Wasn’t in the Air, But Suspects Arrested Anyway

ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. – An Adams County woman is free on $5,000 bond following her arrest on charges of possession and intent to distribute synthetic marijuana.

Cynthia Strickland, 51, was arrested Friday at the Natchez Post Office after investigators say she arrived to pick up packages containing 80 pounds of synthetic marijuana with a street value of $176,000.

Detectives with the Adams County Sheriff’s department said the drugs were packaged in smell-proof bags to block the scent.  But it didn’t matter. The drugs were being watched and lawmen were waiting for Strickland to arrest her.

An arrest warrant was also issued for Roosevelt Hendricks; and investigators said others are expected to be taken in to custody too.
