Tea Party Leaders Demand Focus on Issues, Blame Media for Sensationalism (AUDIO)

JACKSON, Miss. – State and national Tea Party leaders accused the media and others of sensationalizing the recent Rose Cochran photo scandal and demanded a focus of the national debt, amnesty, and Obamacare during a press conference in Jackson Wednesday. They also continued to question why Thad Cochran has refused to debate State Senator Chris McDaniel and why the media has not questioned Cochran on his political stances.

For the past few months News Mississippi and several media outlets have had a hard time getting in contact with Thad Cochran himself. Cochran has also successfully dodged many interviews. Tuesday, Cochran managed to dodge national reporters in Vicksburg, baiting them with the car he was “supposed” to leave in and getting in a different car. Meanwhile reporters were able to interview McDaniel but he would not answer questions involved with the Rose Cochran picture scandal.
