Plenty of rain on tap for north Mississippi throughout today and tonight. Expect an 80% chance of thunderstorms developing after lunchtime and rolling across the area. You’ll even see some sticking around tonight, leaving a sticky and warm Friday morning. As far as today, your high looking to peak in the lower 90s.

Central Mississippi looking at nearly the same treatment: a warm and humid morning developing into bright sunshine with partly cloudy skies, then thunderstorms and scattered rain move into the area. Your high reaching the upper 80s, with a few places breaching 90. Tomorrow look for a 50 percent coverage of afternoon showers.

South Mississippi again getting plenty of early rain, making for a drippy Thursday morning. Today’s high moving into the mid 80s. Carry the umbrella with you, cause you can expect scattered showers and thunder to mark the rest of your Thursday as well. In fact: you’re looking at rain clear through tonight and into tomorrow as well.
