UPDATE with Audio: Amber Alert Canceled, Child Safe, Mom and Stepsister in Custody

MAGNOLIA, Miss. – The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has canceled the Amber Alert for 8 year old Broden Bilbo of Magnolia.
Magnolia Police Chief Ray Reynolds says Crystal Simpson and Blakeley Cain are in custody. They turned themselves, and Broden in to Troop J in Hattiesburg on Wednesday.

The Amber Alert was issued after Broden got permission from his dad to ride with his mom and his stepsister. Reynolds says that they were expected to follow the father home.

When they didn’t follow him, and went in another direction, the father reported the child had been abducted. Fast-forward to Wednesday, the mother and stepdaughter turned themselves in, and they will be brought back to Magnolia to be booked on kidnapping charges.

Here’s the full interview with Magnolia Police Chief Ray Reynolds:

Agents believed that Crystal Simpson and Blakeley Cain were traveling with Broden Bilbo in a silver 2006 GMC Z-71 pickup truck with a Forrest County license plate number FR5-258.  Bilbo was last seen Sunday at a gas station in Magnolia.  An Endangered/Missing Child Alert was activated for him Tuesday night.
