Here’s a quick look at the weather forecast for the state today.

In North Mississippi, not as cool as it has been lately. Expect cloudy skies with highs in the lower 60s during the day. At night, mostly cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 50s.

In Central Mississippi, there is a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. today. During the day, cloudy skies with patchy fog during the day. Some patchy drizzle in the morning with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms during the day. Highs in the mid-60s. Monday night, cloudy skies with patchy fog in the evening with some areas of fog after midnight. There is a slight chance of showers in the evening and a slight chance of thunderstorms during the night along with a chance of showers after midnight. Lows are expected to be in the mid-50s.

In South Mississippi, a dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. and some patchy fog in the afternoon. Showers are likely and a chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s. Tonight, cloudy with some patchy fog in the evening. There will be areas of fog after midnight. There is also a slight chance of showers during the night. Lows will be in the lower 60s.
