In north Mississippi, there is a flood watch in effect until late this morning. Today, expect showers and a chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. There will be some thunderstorms that may produce heavy rainfall in the morning. Highs will be in the mid-60s. Tonight, much colder temperatures with mostly clear skies and lows in the upper 30s.

In central Mississippi, the flood watch continues until late morning. Expect cooler showers in the morning with a slight chance of thunderstorms during the day. Showers are likely in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 70s. At night, much colder with mostly cloudy skies in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. lows will be in the lower to mid-40s.

In south Mississippi, mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers during the day. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will near 80 during the day and then in the evening, mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers. Temperatures will drop down at night with lows near 50.
