Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across the Magnolia state.

In north Mississippi, there is a freeze warning in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. this morning. Much cooler today with cloudy skies expected and a chance of showers during the day. Highs will be in the lower to mid-50s. Tonight, colder with partly cloudy skies and lows in the mid-30s.

In central Mississippi, much colder today with partly sunny skies early in the morning, then becoming mostly cloudy. There is a slight chance of light rain this morning as well. Showers are expected in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 50s and at night, colder temperatures with mostly clear skies and some patchy frost after midnight. Lows will be in the upper 30s.

In south Mississippi, cooler today with mostly sunny skies and a slight chance of light rain in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-60s. In the evening, colder temperatures with mostly clear skies and lows in the lower 40s.
