Weekend Weather Rundown: 1-19-19

Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, showers and thunderstorms are expected in the morning and afternoon. Some thunderstorms may be severe in the morning and highs will be in the lower 60s. At night, breezy with much colder temperatures, cloudy skies and a chance of light rain in the evening. There will be a slight chance of light snow might with rain after midnight. Lows will drop down into the mid to upper 20s and wind chill readings will range from 13 to 18.

In central Mississippi, showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then a chance of showers in the afternoon. Some of the thunderstorms may be severe in the morning. Temperatures will climb into the mid-60s and will fall into the mid-40s in the afternoon. In the evening, breezy and much colder with cloudy skies and a slight chance of light rain and snow. Lows will cool off into the lower 30s. Wind chill readings will be anywhere from 14 to 19.

In south Mississippi, mostly cloudy skies and thunderstorms in the morning, then a chance of showers in the afternoon with some of them having the capability to be severe in the morning. Highs will reach the mid-60s. Tonight, expect much colder temperatures with mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance of light rain in the evening. Lows will be in the lower to mid-30s.
