Weekend weather rundown: rain, colder temperatures, cloudy skies

Here’s what to expect from the weather this weekend across the Magnolia state.

In North Mississippi, cloudy skies on Saturday with a chance of showers in the morning and some thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower to mid-70s. At night partly cloudy in the evening then clearing up some. There will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Much colder temperatures at night with lows in the upper 30s.

Sunday, expect cooler temperatures with sunny skies. Highs during the day will get up to the lower 50s and at night those lows will dip down near 30.

In Central Mississippi, on Saturday cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers in the morning and some thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s during the day and Saturday night is looking much colder. Mostly cloudy skies in the evening, then clearing. Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the evening. Lows will be in the lower 40s at night on Saturday.

Sunday, cooler temperatures but the sun will still make an appearance. Highs in the upper 50s during the day and at night clear skies with lows nearing 30.

In South Mississippi, Saturday will be mostly cloudy with some patchy fog in the early morning. A slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs are expected to reach the upper 70s then at night it will be cooler. Mostly cloudy in the evening then clearing up some. There is a chance for showers in the evening and again after midnight. Lows will be in the mid 40s at night.

Sunday expect cool temperatures with highs near 60 during the heat of the day. The sun will be making an appearance during the day as well. At night mostly clear skies and the temperature will drop down to the lower 30s.
