JACKSON, Miss. — A cold front continues to move through Mississippi Tuesday, causing temperatures to dip and creating a possible fire hazard.
“Conditions are very dry; and with the wind coming through from time to time, it can create some conditions for developing wildfires,” explained National Weather Service Meteorologist Eric Carpenter.
You are advised to be cautious with any outdoor burning. Much of the state has been under a red flag warning since the weekend. That simply means conditions are favorable for fires to quickly spread.
