$20,000 Awarded to Stone County Schools for Safety Programs

STONE COUNTY, Miss. – The Stone County School District will be receiving $20,000 from the MCOPS grant this month.

The grant was made after the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, CT.

WLOX reported, Scott County plans to use the money to pay for the salaries of their two school resource officers to start drug and gang resistance programs.
