Restaurant Burns Down in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. – A Columbus restaurant is barely standing after catching fire early this morning.

Investigators believe “The Butcher Shop” on Main street caught fire around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The establishment has been up-and-running more than 20 years.

Reports from WCBI show that no one was inside at the time of the blaze.

Those investigating believe the fire started in the back of the restaurant.
