HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Working to help police officers in Hattiesburg.
Lois Holmes has one goal, provide every officer in Hattiesburg with a triage kit. Holmes started the project, after learning that two out of every three officers killed in the line of duty, dies from blood loss.
Holmes has already raised enough money to buy kits for Prentiss, Sumrall, Purvis and Lumberton officers.
Each kit costs $50. The kits include items such as gauze, compression dressing and a tourniquet.
