JSU legend dies at 76

JACKSON, Miss. – A Jackson State football legend has passed away.

Willie Richardson died yesterday at the age of 76. The wide-out and Greenville native led the SWAC in reception from 1959 to 1963 and would go on to be a two-time Pro Bowler with the Baltimore Colts.
Richardson was also the long-time color annalist for the JSU tigers.
